How does an Orb card from an Uplift breeding tube get placed?

The new card is placed as soon as the tube is taken, may not touch any part of the card the survey team stands on (not even a corner), but may overlap cards lying on top of that card, and counts as a free extra action, not as your optional Orb card play. It can be placed touching another survey team that you then move onto in the same turn.
