What counts as a pair of cards when choosing from the Quarry?
The designer confirmed this in the forum, and the rulebook says the same.

A pair is the two cards revealed together during Stock the Quarry. You must take one whole pair; you cannot mix cards from different pairs. Pairs stay together and are never rearranged.
