Can you skip building on the Obelisk or Tomb after playing your Pyramid card?
The rulebook states that Obelisk and Tomb plays are optional.

Yes. Only the Pyramid card is mandatory each turn; playing on the Obelisk or Tomb is optional, and you may end the turn with cards left in hand.
