If a Black Market return takes the last colonist or VP chip, is the game end cancelled?
One poster's reading; the rulebook only says the end is triggered when the condition is met.

No. If the end was triggered by running out of colonists or VP chips, the game still ends at the end of the round even if the Black Market returns some. A Church bonus works the same way.
