When does the Aqueduct pay, and for which buildings?

It adds one extra barrel of indigo if you produce at least one indigo in a large indigo plant, and likewise one extra sugar for a large sugar mill, so both can pay out. Small plants and mills are not affected. The extra barrel is taken with your normal production, not after everyone else.
