Do I shuffle the tiles before loading the space station?
Several players describe the same practice; the rulebook is silent on shuffling.

Yes, in practice. The rulebook never says to shuffle, but it does require each stack to hold tiles of one shape, and players load them in random order and reshuffle when packing away. Choosing the order by hand is not intended. Only the orientation of the inner ring is a free choice.
