In solo mode, what if an Event says to move my back piece to the closest Ranger down the trail and none is ahead?
The designer said no move is needed when no Ranger is down the trail, and to ignore impossible parts.

Nothing moves. Do as much of the card as you can and ignore parts that cannot be done. For solo purposes the Trail End counts as part of the trail. The Trailhead is not the first Trail Site.
