Do Gear cards that name a Trail Site trigger when I camp there?
A rules quote supports it; one staff reply disputes it for cards worded "instead of".

Yes, per the Nightfall rules, but you do not gain the site's weather token. One staff reply says a card worded "instead of" activates only when you take the site's action, so check the card text.
