Can any color die fill the dungeon card's boxes in a peril?
The designer said dice not matching the peril color are discarded; the rulebook says the peril boxes accept any die.

Yes, any die in your pool can fill them, but your pool only holds dice matching the peril option you chose plus heroic dice. Any other die is discarded immediately, so in practice you only ever place those colors.
