If damage reaches my health, when must I drink a healing potion?
The rulebook says the game ends unless a potion or other effect heals.

Immediately — the game ends once damage meets or exceeds health unless you heal enough right then, even outside the Suffer Consequences step (for example after swapping out an item with hearts). There is no health below zero; damage tokens just pile up.
