Obsession
How often do I discard an objective card, and how many do I score at the end?
The rulebook states the schedule and the designer confirmed it repeatedly, including that missing it is a common mistake.
Discard exactly one objective card at the end of every courtship, the fourth and final one included. A standard game deals five, adds two from the round-track draw, discards four and scores three. In extended play you are dealt four, gain four more from its two draw events, discard four and still score four. The first-edition rules were different; this is the second-edition rule.
