Must I invite exactly the number and type of guests the tile calls for? What if I cannot?
The rulebook's Invite Guests step requires the exact number, and the designer confirmed it.
Yes. You must supply the exact number and types of gentry the tile lists, taken from your Active Hand; a smaller group is not allowed. If you lack the guests, reputation or servants to host, you must pass instead. Guests come from your hand (only the Lionheart Suite draws and plays a guest at once).
