Who goes next after a Double Auction is completed by another player?
The rulebook states this directly.

The player to the left of the new Auctioneer (who added the second card). Anyone sitting between the original and the new Auctioneer loses that turn. If nobody adds a card, the original Auctioneer takes the painting free and the Hammer passes to their left as usual.
