Can Helicarrier's cost reduction or Spider-Woman's Finesse apply when you pay for an ally with Make the Call?

Helicarrier does not apply: its reduction targets the next card played, and Make the Call puts the ally into play rather than playing it, so the printed cost is not discounted. Other cost discounts also do not apply; whether Finesse's resource bonus applies is disputed, with repliers saying it only works for aspect allies.
