If Hawkeye fails to flip to alter-ego on his obligation, is the bow removed from the game?

Question

Accepted Answer

No. The bow is only discarded from play to the discard pile, and Hawkeye's alter-ego ability can pull it back. A "remove from the game" wording seen in a translation is a mistake; the English text differs.
