Can I have two copies of a unique card title like the Groot or Rocket minions from a hero pack in play when I play with that hero?
Several players agree on this reading and relay an FFG reply, though the original is not verifiable.

No. Unique cards are limited to one copy per title for the whole group, and the identity card counts. A unique minion with the same title as a hero in play cannot be put into play, though it can still be used to pay for costs or played if that hero is eliminated.
