Can I alternate between drawing from the deck and taking face-up cards in Phase C?
Yes. You can draw one card from the face-down pile, then take a face-up card, then draw again, in any order, until you reach your hand limit. The designer pointed out this is useful if you want to see whether the deck gives you a certain good for free before you pay 1 doubloon for a display card.
