How do the Martyr cards work, and do two of them stack?
The designer said the ability can be used at any time and multiple times, and the second card adds nothing.

A Martyr lets you return one figure from your supply for 2 combat points on your track, at any time and as often as you like. Two Martyrs do not give more: the second only gives you a choice of which one to use. Those points go on your ship board, not directly into combat value.
