Can I pay a legacy tile's cost more than once to place several discs in one visit?
Several players report the same reading; no official ruling.

No. You pay the cost once, take the reward and move a single disc to the tile; you may do so again on a later visit. You can do this before your main action, and it does not use up your main action. A cost can also be refused, but then your movement may end (for example the 2 doubloons to get past location 8 on L11).
