Can I remove a marker another player placed, and what happens to it?
Yes. You fight for nations, not against players, but a combat action can displace a marker already on a flag. The removed cube leaves the game and does not reduce that nation's multiplier, though it can change which nation holds the majority bonus. Displacing costs more than annexing an empty flag.
