How does the village action that discards my hand for 2 doubloons work, and can I repeat it?
The rulebook describes discarding all hand cards for 2 doubloons and redrawing in Phase C; replies apply it to repeats and partial discards.

You must discard your whole hand, and you get the 2 doubloons only if you discarded at least one card. You cannot discard just part of it. Your hand is refilled only in Phase C, so repeating the action in the same turn (with two or three village actions) pays nothing the second time. To keep a card, plan it in a planning space first.
