How much gold does each player start with, and do you get gold every round?
The rulebook states the starting gold, and several players confirm there is no per-round income.

The first player starts with 4 gold, and each seat to their left gets 1 more than the previous one (5, 6, 7, 8). That starting gold is a one-time handout; after round one you only gain gold from action spaces, quest rewards and building effects.
