What counts as 'taking an action' for a Plot Quest that says 'whenever you take an action that provides X, also take Y'?
The designer confirmed that Intrigue effects are part of the action but Plot Quest gains are not.

Assigning an agent to a space, including playing an Intrigue card at Waterdeep Harbor that gives X, counts. Quest rewards, other Plot Quest bonuses, an opponent's card, and owner benefits you receive when others use your buildings do not. The bonus fires once per action, not once per cube.
