What can I do to an enemy that is immune to player card effects?

You can attack it normally and use effects that target your own characters, such as Quick Strike or a defense bonus, because they don't target the enemy. Cards that target, choose or directly alter the enemy can't affect it (Hands Upon the Bow, Gandalf's damage, healing, canceling it). It can't be attacked in the staging area by a player card effect.
