Is a hero shuffled into the deck by Lost and Alone counted as dead for scoring?
No. A hero still in the deck, or attached to a Nameless Thing, at the end isn't dead. The 2012 reply used here predates the later FAQ, which says the same: only heroes in the discard pile are killed.
