Does Coordinate do anything when playing solo with one Avatar?

The designer's first solo ruling was updated by the single-Avatar variant, which the designer later clarified.

In the base rules, no, but the single-Avatar variant (printed in the expansion rulebook and confirmed by the designer) lets you, once per turn, discard a Coordinate card from your hand to draw a card. You do not play it for its effects first; the discard counts as coordinating for effects that need it. With two or more Avatars (hands), inactive hands can coordinate into the active hand as normal.
