Do Hive cards advance every turn, or only to make room?
The rulebook says to push a card forward only if it needs to move to make room.

Only to make room. A new card enters the closest room, and a card already there is pushed one space toward the Airlock. If there is a free space, nothing enters the Combat Zone that turn.
