Does the Silver Coin trigger when a Viking is drawn from the deck as an asset?
Artifacts trigger on Recruit, and the asset draw places a card without recruiting.

No. The Silver Coin rewards Recruiting, and drawing a Viking as an asset isn't a Recruit action.
