Injuries marked permanent are recorded on the survivor sheet and stay until something heals them; otherwise a severe injury lasts until the end of the showdown and its tokens are removed. Some injuries also make you skip the next hunt. Bleeding tokens are removed at the end of each showdown, and light and heavy injury boxes heal when the survivors return to the settlement. Players rule that healing a permanent injury also removes any stat penalty it caused.
