Can a settlement of one gender, or a same-sex pair, use Intimacy to gain population?
No: Intimacy nominates one male and one female survivor, so an all-one-gender settlement cannot grow that way, and a same-sex pair on Rivalry stays blocked until one dies. Same-sex partnerships themselves are allowed, and single-gender hunting parties are fine.
