Can the Snake's special move cross a sea and then a boat, or be used to retreat?

Reportedly yes to crossing: the Snake's special move can cross one sea space and then continue over further sea spaces by boat, but only during its special move, not an Ares move. Retreating is not moving, so it cannot be used to retreat. These are players' readings, not official.
