Does a level 4 pyramid give a temporary victory point, and who holds it when it is captured?
The rulebook lists raising a pyramid to level 4 or controlling an opponent's one as a temporary VP source.

Yes. A level 4 pyramid gives one temporary VP to whoever controls it, like a temple; lower-level pyramids give none. If an opponent controls it, they hold the point and the owner loses it until the pyramid is retaken.
