Which DI cards can I discard for Divine Wound's +1 Strength?
The rulebook's FAQ answers this directly and a designer reply agrees with the discard reading.

Only DI cards you did not play in that battle. The rulebook FAQ says you cannot discard a DI card you played with your battle card for the bonus, and a discarded card cannot also be played for its own effect.
