In solo play, must I consent to the Crown's nepotism?
Yes if the Crown has two or more promise cubes, and you receive two cubes for it. With only one cube, consenting gives you that cube and refusing gives nothing. When you are hiring, paying two cubes makes the Crown consent so you can hire your own piece.
