When I return several cards at once, can I choose the order they go to the bottom of the pile?

Yes. When several cards are returned together, the player doing the returning chooses their order. If you return before drawing from the same pile you may draw some of the same cards back. You may not look at score piles of other players, so cards pulled from several piles are arranged face-down.
