When can The Dagda be played against another Epic Tale card?
Designer replies state the timing and that a Cuchulain ignored by The Dagda gives no second maneuver.

It is played as the card is played, before it resolves, so the target card is discarded with no effect, including Lug's Spear. If Cuchulain's effect is ignored you do not get a replacement maneuver.
