Does a clash end automatically when only one player still has exposed clans, or when I have only one exposed clan left?
The rulebook says a lone player must decide whether to end the clash or perform a maneuver.

No. A clash ends only when no exposed clans remain or when all players with exposed clans agree to end it. A lone remaining player may still take maneuvers, such as Withdraw or an Epic Tale maneuver, and it is their choice when to end it. Clans hidden in Citadels do not keep a clash open on their own, and a clash continues even if all defenders hid.
