If I cannot do one sentence of a card, are the other sentences still resolved?

Usually yes. Parts of one sentence are done together unless there is a choice or an OR, but separate sentences not linked by an "if you did" resolve independently, so one can fail while another happens. A few cards were split into sentences for language reasons and break this logic.
