If Smugglers gives a player a card they can never play, such as Overpopulation for Polynesians, what happens?
The recipient keeps the card and must live with it. They can still discard it through a discard effect or put it into history at its cost, and Overpopulation is an attack card, so the gift is a deliberate hit.
