How do Longships work with exiled regions and break through?

Longships lets you take an exiled region only when you acquire (it needs another card to trigger the acquire); break through cannot reach exile, and effects triggered by acquiring do not trigger on a break through. Its passive can trigger several times a turn, but its exhaust only once.
