How does Glory (and "take" on Fame cards) work?

You abandon the required regions, then look at the top two fame cards, take one into your hand and return the other to the top of the fame deck (in any order if you return several). "Take" always means add to your hand. Garrisoned regions are not in play so they cannot be abandoned to pay for Glory, and abandoned regions and anything garrisoned under them go to your discard pile.
