At low difficulty, how does the die roll block bot cards?

On the low difficulty levels the die matters: an X token fills one slot and is never resolved, so the bot deals only 4 cards. On a roll of 5 or 6 it resolves all 4 cards; lower rolls mean fewer resolutions (3 or 4 per turn rather than 4 or 5). No progress token is placed on a roll of 6 during clean-up.
