What happens if an Acquire has no matching card in the market?
The rulebook states this directly.

Nothing is acquired. If acquiring was the card's only effect, nothing happens; any other effects of the card still resolve. You cannot acquire from a deck, so a suit whose small deck is empty and which isn't in the market cannot be acquired.
