How does acquiring or breaking through for a card in the exile pile work?

You may choose any card of the right type in the exile pile; it is open information. Acquiring a non-region card from exile also costs you an Unrest from the pile; regions do not. Break through never costs Unrest and cannot reach exile unless a card says so.
