How does a Mosquito get its movement, and can it copy the opponent's pieces or a Queen?

The designer posted the official Mosquito rule text, and players confirm the details.

At the start of its move, a Mosquito takes on the movement of any non-Mosquito creature it is touching, yours or your opponent's, including the Queen Bee's one-space move. It re-evaluates each turn, except that a Mosquito moved up onto the Hive keeps moving as a Beetle until it climbs down. If it touches a stack it copies only the top piece. A Mosquito pretending to be a Queen is still a Mosquito, so surrounding it does not win.
