Hive
Is the Ladybug stopped by gates or stacks on top of the Hive?
The designer ruled in 2011 and 2013 that the Ladybug crawls like a Beetle and is restricted by gates.

It can pass over stacks of any height, but Freedom to Move applies to it as it does to a Beetle, so a gate of two stacked pieces on top of the Hive blocks it. It can still climb straight up a tall stack, and it can move into or out of surrounded spaces.
