Can a Beetle move on top of any piece, including my own pieces and the opponent's Queen Bee?
The designer discussed Beetles covering the Queen and confirmed the colour change is only for placing; many players confirm the move is legal.

Yes. A Beetle may climb onto any piece of either colour, including your own Queen or the opposing Queen, as long as the Hive stays connected. Covering the opposing Queen immobilises her and lets you place pieces around her, but it does not win the game by itself; the only defence is usually to put your own Beetle on top of the attacker.
