Can I use a bonus marker in the same action in which I took it, or after my last action of the turn?
The designer clarified this in 2010, and the publisher agreed that it is not usable in the same action.

Not during the action that gave it to you, but once that action is finished you may use it, even after your last action; using a marker costs no action. If that action ends the game, the game ends at once, so there is no chance to use it. The Extra Office marker also only works inside a later route claim.
