Prestige for a completed route is awarded first using current control, then the neutral office is placed. A neutral trader stays on the route if it leads to a city with a special ability; otherwise all remaining neutral traders are removed. The neutral marker can end the game at 20 points and earns route and network bonuses, but cannot win.
