Do you pay the cost of the disc you clear onto the pathfinder track during setup?

Question

Accepted Answer

Yes. A disc space with a cost must be paid when you take its disc, even for this free placement, so the disc that costs 4 pounds is a legal but expensive choice. The setup text points to the disc-clearing rules in the white box on page 9, and forum replies agree.
